So, as I said earlier, we are allowed to homeschool here. The awesome thing is that we don't have to report to anybody. The MD school system doesn't care about us, since we're not there, and the DoD doesn't have an official stance on homeschooling. Our friends at the homeschool review place that did our reviews in MD kindly assented to still review us while we're gone, so we can still have records that we did, in fact, homeschool while we were away, just in case anybody down the road wants to know what we did for middle school.
We haven't used any of the services offered for homeschoolers yet, but from what I understand, Em is able to take classes at the school if she wants to. Not the core classes, I don't think, but electives. We might look into that in the fall.
For now, we have a homeschool group that we have joined. I was a bit nervous (I still am), but they seem like a really nice group. :)
